Parallax Postcard Video

This project for my Motion Design class required students to create a postcard for Southwest Florida (or any part of Florida) using a parallax effect: shift in the position of an object due to the view of the observer. Using assets made in Adobe Illustrator and then porting them over to After Effects, I created a short animation that capitalized on the coastal and tourist environment of Florida. Using the puppeteer tool and the camera position/blur options, I was able to create the effect of moving closer towards the beach, as well as have objects being able to bend and move without much key framing.
